TRAIN SMART. SWIM FAST. ONE TEAM.

  • Elite level coaching

  • Low swimmer-to-coach ratio

  • Multi-camera Athlee system for integrated video review

  • Coach-led dryland training and a comprehensive strength and conditioning program

  • Unwavering focus on proper stroke technique and the technical aspects of fast swimming and performance

  • Power Towers to develop the skill of holding water

  • Dynamic, learning-driven environment

Teaching technique is about understanding the person. Taking the time to build relationships with our swimmers helps us tailor feedback for each athlete. We approach technique with a motor learning mindset, understanding that each athlete has a unique aquatic signature waiting to be unlocked.

At HCA, we make sure every swimmer understands how they move through the water. Stroke count. Tempo. Kick count. Pacing. These are the variables that shape a swimmer’s IQ — and we focus on them every step or stroke of the way. We encourage our swimmers to take ownership of their swim journey, and to hold themselves accountable for their progress.

HCA aspires to build a community of swimmers and families who value collaboration, creativity, resilience, love of learning, and support for each other on whatever journey that might be.

INTRODUCING
The St. Stephen’s Aquatic Center

The Still Water Foundation Aquatic Center pool

HCA is located at the St. Stephen’s Aquatic Center, a best-in-class training facility located on the campus of the St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, a coeducational boarding and day school in Austin, Texas, serving students in grades 6 - 12. Scheduled to be completed in early September 2025, the Aquatic Center is the result of a $17 million donation from the Still Water Foundation, one of the largest gifts ever made to an independent school in Texas. The facility houses a 50-meter Myrtha pool that can be configured into 22 lanes (short course yards) or 8 lanes (long course meters).
